2008 Volunteer Appreciation Barn Dance

2008

Volunteer Appreciation Barn Dance
The Greene's Barn
A special thanks goes to all who combined their efforts and talents to make the 1st Ever Volunteer Appreciation Barn Dance a night to remember.

As a volunteer, I felt much appreciated by the work that went into this party. We were safely directed where to park as we approached the Green's Barn. As we exited our vehicle, we were escorted by handsome young members of the Rider's Club.

The tents awaiting us were adorned with hanging lights and under them were tables decorated with western boots, fall foliage, and warmly lit candles.

Mr. Tim Greene spent a couple days smoking brisket which was served on buns, accompanied by potato salad, baked, beans, and a warm chocolate-chip cookie. The riders club waited on us hand and foot and made sure our cups were filled with tea and our plates had enough food.

Following the meal entertainment was provided by the Riding Club Members who had prepared some exciting dances! They invited all attending to participate, and there were smiles and laughter abundant.

The Cake Walk proved to be only for the strong of heart and swift of feet. The students giggled and laughed as they made their moves to reach the winning chair!

Thank you again, all involved, for making this an evening we won't soon forget. We're all looking forward to the 2nd Annual Appreciation Dance!
